Characters

This actor is playing a teenage white male that goes to church every Sunday and is happy to do so. He is the victim in this opening to the film. He is only a minor character and would only have a small roll in the whole film. After this opening scene the colour would change from black and white into a colour film. This is because we wanted to make it seem that it was back in the past. The boy is a typical smart Christian boy. Dressed in a shirt and tie with a plain jumper. With the speaking over the top you think that the boy is the evil man but as the story unfolds you realise he is an innocent boy and not evil. We are using a young boy rather than an adult because In the bible extract it says ‘the finder of the lost children’.
This character is a priest he has a grudge with something that we find out late on in the film. We chose this character because we watched a film in a similar genre called the Da Vinci Code and we saw the character Silas. He inspired us to make a similar character.
The roll of this character Is to make the audience tense as they know he is there but the boy doesn't we want the audience to dislike this character and fear him. We are using him as the evil one who thinks he is doing well in the eyes of his God but actually isn't. He fits our religious thriller, as he is a priest.
